Collegarsi a MIX: più flessibilità, maggiori opportunità
The program is designed to simplify network connections to MIX, even from locations where MIX switches are not physically present.
It is structured in two different models, designed to meet the diverse needs of Partners and offer them greater opportunities: Reselling and Pooling.
For both models:
- Clients are fully connected to MIX.
- First-level support for Clients is provided by Partners.
- Peering service support is provided by the MIX NOC.
- Colocation of equipment in MIX’s data center is not allowed.
Reselling
- Partners in this model are national and international operators, referred to as Resellers.
- The Reseller sells the peering service to its customers on a dedicated basis, assigning a port (or a LAG of ports) to each client.
- Resellers purchase peering services from MIX at discounted rates and offer them to their clients as a one-stop-shop solution, including transport and connection to MIX.
Pooling
- This model allows two or more entities (ASNs) to use the peering service by sharing the same port (or LAG of ports).
- The Partner that signs the peering contract under the Pooling model is called the Pool Registrar.
- ASNs connected to the same port are referred to as Pool Elements.
- Each Pool Element manages its own peering independently with ASNs connected to MIX by configuring multiple MAC addresses and IP addresses on a single port.
