MIX – Milan Internet Exchange is the leading Internet Exchange Point (IXP) in Italy and one of the top in Europe in terms of traffic volume.
Founded in Milan in 2000 within the Caldera Campus — the area with the highest network concentration in Italy — we are one of the few European IXPs with our own data centers, where we provide interconnection services to both Italian and international companies with independent networks. Connecting to MIX enables Internet traffic exchange with optimized network performance, increased control over data flow, low latency, and reduced IP transit costs.
Thanks to our regional IX Edge locations, operators can interconnect at geographically closer points, further reducing latency and ensuring an enhanced end-user experience. This solution strengthens network resilience, delivering high performance even in areas farther from Caldera and supporting reliable, high-speed connectivity across the entire country.
