Cross-IX

The Cross-IX service allows MIX customers to connect directly to AMS-IX Amsterdam, gaining access to over 850 new networks exchanging more than 13 Tbps of traffic, all through the existing MIX port, with no additional hardware requirements or administrative burdens.

How it works

Customers connected to MIX can perform remote peering at AMS-IX Amsterdam by using their existing interconnection and hardware, benefiting from secure transport between the two IXs via multiple, redundant paths.

All new connections are managed through the existing customer portal and contract. Customers can also request a Cross-IX connection on a new port or a separate VLAN on their current port.
