At the end of October 2024, MIX strengthens its presence in Rome with the activation of the second PoP of the IX Edge MIX-Rome within Aruba’s Hyper Cloud Data Center (IT4), located in the Tecnopolo Tiburtino technology campus.
Aruba’s Hyper Cloud Data Center spans a 74,000 m² campus, with 52,000 m² dedicated exclusively to data centers. Once fully operational, it will comprise five independent data centers, providing a total of 30 MW of IT power, with a minimum redundancy of level 2N. The first data center (DC-A) is already operational, while the second will be activated by the first half of 2025. DC-A has received the ANSI/TIA-942-C Rating 4 Constructed Facility certification, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of design, security and reliability. Connected to major internet backbones, IT4 offers multiple interconnections with other Aruba data centers located in Arezzo (IT1 and IT2) and Ponte San Pietro (IT3). The entire facility is designed with a strong focus on environmental sustainability, using only renewable energy and including in-house production systems through photovoltaic plants and hydroelectric plants.
